ICE... we finally got it

If you read my post yesterday you know we were expecting 1/2 inch of ice with 3 to 4 inches of snow on top. It sleeted for 30 minutes yesterday morning then stopped. It started back yesterday around 3:30 and sleeted until around 3am this morning. When we got up this morning we have a nice sheet of ice on everything with a dusting of snow on top. I have included two pictures of the road. I believe the ice is around 1/2 inch thick. I will be hibernating today, other than checking on my Mother, neighbors and my cows.
Second picture did not load. To keep tractor related I use a JD to feed my cows

Only ice here was in my 2 fingers of JD. Close to 70*here today. All of our trees are starting to bud out. If things go true to form, we will get a freeze after the trees get their new leaves and freeze them black. That has happened for quite a few years

That may or may not be impressive depending on where "this" is. Never understand why people can't add int heir location for stuff like this.

FWIW, that looks like either a normal October or April day up here on the NY/Ont border.
 
What's that brown and green stuff?
If that ice is thick on the road, stay out of the tracks.
Put your outside wheels on that line where the snow meets the dirt. go slow, you'll be fine
