wyoDave - pics request

Wyodave,
Your trailer pic from the other day reminded me of something I meant to request of you a while ago.
If I remember right, you use a stack wagon and line up gigantic, rectangular stacks of hay outside...
I remember last summer or two years ago you posted some pics of your stacks and I was blown away. I was telling my dad about it and went back but could not find these pics...
if they are your pics...could you re-post these?
Thanks!

Ask and ye shall receive.

Here is the machine doing the work.

From a couple summers ago. We have quite a few stack yards. Insurance doesn't really like having over 100 tons in one stack.

Somebody has a good afternoon ahead of them. That somebody is usually me.

Another one.

Two balers working in the background, and I'm stacking right behind them.

I'm kind of proud of this one. Did this stack in one afternoon. If only it always worked so well.

Thanks Dave, those are the ones I remember...crazy to me seeing bales outside...upstate ny you only see people do that with junk
Thanks!

Dad had a pull type maybe a 1033? Looks like your stacks one more layer of bales than dads did, good load for a 4020 on one of the hills he took back to the home place 2 miles away, had to shift down on some of the loads. I think we had ours from the late 70's to the late 80's. I was to small to handle the bales dad made with the 346 hyd tension baler. Still have the baler. chris

That's from all the salt they use on the road ways rusting out the farm equipment not used in the winter months ~grrrrr~
What part of NY are you in Steve?

Here are some pictures of my son operating a big square bale stacker.

Somehow managed to double post the first pic. Sorry. The first pic here is a close up of the machine. It stacks 24 big squares in a stack and then stands them up, using the same principles as the old small square bale stackers. The second pic shows more of the straw stack that year. There were two rows. The straw came off about 400 acres of wheat.

Do you leave those small squares stacked outside all the time like that? I'm not sure I can imagine doing that around here!

Not to mention, if any local crazy horse ladies saw those stacks outside, they would have a heart attack!!
