I'm thinking.... by creating a new topic, it will benefit others looking for this same info. . Keep in mind this is for someone who has never owned a tractor. A complete Newbie. I started asking questions on another topic, I will transfer everything here. Your help and input is much appreciated and hopefully many will benefit!

#1 - To begin, diagrams and instructions on draining and maintaining hydrolic system.

#2 - changing the oil

#3 - basic maintenance and taking care of the tractor. Things to watch for. Tuneups etc etc.

Links to resources, vids etc etc. There are no videos on youtube covering these basic subjects! So, hopefully some generous people will help us out! If you know of any vids, please post a link. When making or posting vids, please address general issues and topics that will help with other models as well as the John Deere 2555.

here is a basic info link on the 2555

Well, way this works is you get the owner"s manual, the I&T manual, the service manual, the parts manual, everything else you can, you go through it, and if you have a specific question, these guys will do their best.

Get thyself the operator's manual for the 2555.

It will answer all of your basic questions, any specific questions are easier to answer.

Congrats on the 2555, looks sharp!

Hi
Don't bother with a JD I&T manual I used to think they where good manuals, until i had a problem I couldn't figure out.
I tried Diagnosing with that book and couldn't. was leading me to spend a load of someones money on parts that would not fix the problem

I Got a copy of a genuine Deere book. the problem near fixed it's self. I found about 20 pages of more info in the proper book, I needed to diagnose the whole system on the tractor!

It's kinda a shame the I&T is printed on shiny paper, it ain't even any good in 5" squares hanging on a nail in the can!, From what I learned trying to fix problems with it.
Regards Robert
