Need rivet for toy wagon repair

A granddaughter has a 1/16 scale barge wagon. The front axle fell off and now Grandpa is asked to fix it. This same rivet also attaches the tongue to the box. The rivet is barely a quarter inch long with the inner part being solid and the other part of the length being hollow. Any idea where to look for a replacement? There is not enough material left on the hollow rivet to straighten and re-use. Thanks for any help!

Where are you located,I"m in Northern Il and have an assortment,a good local hardware store in Rockford also sells them.

Most decent hardware stores have those type rivits. They are just hollow on the ends. Look in the bolt section.

MSC has a good selection of small rivets, hollow and solid shank. Just don't be scared off by their 6,000 page catalog!

I bought her the wagon in the first place. Guess that makes me the real "root" of the problem. Oh well, I have been accused of being the problem before.

A carefully manipulated nail would work.

I ordered everything I needed to restore my 806 Farmall (I received from the dealer new when just a pre-schooler) from the company at the link below. They even had decals, fenders, tires, muffler, grill, steering wheel, and front steering post.
