The Old Farmer's Almanac says

If this weather doesn't change the only thing most of us will be planting on Good Friday is our hindsides beside the woodstove trying to stay warm.

With Good Friday shifting about....sometimes our ground is still too wet to plant anything!.....Must be an American Almanac? Our 'Old Moore's Almanac' spends more time telling us when it is going to stay dry!....LOL.......Sam

Like a lot of others said, plant potatoes, where I'm at doesen't happen very often. Good Friday last year was on March 29th, I planted potatoes, peas, and onions on May 7th. and had to mud them in. Good Friday this year is on April 18th. Maybe with this long cold Winter we may have an early Spring. Time well tell--.

Taters on Good Friday is a long-standing tradition in central MN. A few years ago you could have done it, if you had a pick axe!
