On the show, his tractor was a Hoyt-Clagwell. In reality though, his tractor was a Fordson model "F" built from 1917-1926 .

In the still scene a Fordson, called a Hoyt Clagwell. The one he was driving was a John Deere GP. In the later shows he had a Ford 50 or 6000.

Yep, that about covers it, 'cept he drove the Hoyt/Fordson from time to time.

I don't know which tractor it was, but a very...exciting scene....

Mr. Douglas and Ebb were working on the tractor. Ebb had the engine out and hoisted up about 10 ft. above the tractor with a block and tackle rope. Mr. Douglas was standing very close to the tractor, and...

Well, I think from the way he jumped and the expression on his face, he totally wasn't prepared for the resulting crash! I think he may have even got hit with some shrapnel.

Obviously they didn't want to shoot that scene again! Anyone remember that?

The picture of his wife standing on the drawbar reminds me of the parade picture of the lady on the drawbar balancing the missing front wheel.

The tractor in the last picture still survives? Now that would be a good restoration project. The video of it in use would authenticate it.
