What a dummy! (Me)

I was one of guys on here talking about how the hobby was on a decline, we won't get our money out of our tractors, etc. I meet a guy Tuesday that has seen my 77 at the local show and they used to have one on their farm. He really likes it. He asks if mine is for sale and makes me a fair offer on one of my most plain jane tractors I own. What do I say? Nope. Man what a dummy. Tried to sell him the case vc though...don't think it's going to happen.

If a guy is going to get into the hobby, someone's got to sell him a tractor.
Or ten. LOL
I've got to sell a few too, I just can't decide which ones. :?

Yep, just like the classic or muscle car hobby... it costs $$$$ to get in, the question is how much $$$ we get back when we "cash out"!

Hobbies?? Who me??

Scuba, skydiving, shooting, reloading, archery (bow and crossbow), Stained glass, antiquing, old tractors, old tools, quail habitat restoration and a volunteer water quality monitor for the DNR. Plus a little hobby farming. I have given up the scuba and skydiving as I am now pushing 60 and that is a young mans thing.

Dont know how I find time to work.

If it's a hobby, you buy a tractor and tinker with it, take it to a few shows and enjoy it. If your concern is how much you are going to profit, then you are a speculator.

Gene;

How many coveys do you have on your farm? I, too, enjoy habitat restoration, except mine is geared toward woodcock and rabbits. I use a lot of the same techniques as quail habitat restoration. Sure wish we had quail. The Missouri conservation department has some of the best information out there.
