Well I never did buy it due to title problems. It has sat for around 7 years now. Any how back when I first said something about ti a couple of you guys said you would like it if I did not buy it so yep it is still for sale. I was asked today to let people know and will post this later on Criag's list after I have a couple pictures of it

Don"t know about your state but Alabama didn"t start requiring titles until 1975 year models. Just tag receipt and bill of sale on earlier models.

Never heard of such a thing. When I bought my first car back in 59 and it was a 48 model It came with a title and had the information on previous owner and title number. Ohio And I know they were required for years before.

Many or most states require titles for vintage cars. Some states are cracking down on owners that have bought titles to use on cars they had but didn't have a title for. In some cases people that have had a car for 25 or 30 years are now having problems because they improperly titled their cars.
There are ways to get titles for cars that don't have one. The process varies by state. Some states have a bonded title process.

If I remember right; this car was an automatic. I would have interest if it were a stick and more interest if it was a factory 4-speed.

Certificate required for certain motor vehicles and travel trailers; penalty.

(a) Except as provided in Section 32-8-31, every owner of a motor vehicle designated a 1975 year model, and all models subsequent thereto which is in this state and which is required to be registered under the motor vehicle laws of this state and for which no certificate of title has been issued by the department, shall make application to a designated agent as herein defined for a certificate of title to the vehicle.

There"s a Charger on EBAY Here in NY /Fire Damaged ! It has 426 HEMI & 4 Speed [Fire Never Got to the Engine !The Seller Has the Paper Work to go with the Car .

Ain't THAT the truth! Had to jump through hoops to get my trailers inspected/plated because NONE of mine had titles in Nebraska!Nothing but a money grab - just like vehicle inspections.....

If you want to find out about government money grab come to IL. Part of IL crackdown on old cars is to make sure they have proper titles. The other part is a plain old money grab. They are charging sales tax on 1949 and older cars. Some people are being charged sales tax on cars they've had for many years. They're basing the tax on Barrett Jackson type prices unless you can produce a valid bill of sale showing the actual selling price. They automatically lose the bill of sale you send them, so if you send the original you're out of luck.
The title deal isn't too bad but the tax sucks.
