we all have them the people that are alone and with the weather how are they doing? so today time to make a few phone calls and check up on them and to tell them if the decide to go out call me and let me know when there coming back in usual response dont want to bother you i just tell them the truth your important to me . its a great way to also build your knowledge of farming and the way it was and i have learned a lot on those phone calls . a learned a valueable leason one day at the grocery store i stopped and said hi to an old gentleman and he started crying he said most people dont have time for us old fellers but you do.
so time to make some phone calls
 
Great Advise.My sister in law is dying with cancer,her and her daughter has never got a long.Actually she has been a very nasty person,she was staying with her daughter and got mad and demanded to go home.Her daughter didnt go check on her for a week,and no one ever heard from her,finally called the law to go to the house.They broke the door open,thank GOD she wasnt dead but close to it.My wifes family needs prayer

Good advise, reminds me to check on my Mom more often, 88 and still lives alone.

She doesn't like me calling, fear of anything that even hints at infringing on her independence.

When the weather gets cold, I call and remind her to go plug in the well house heater, but call me back when your done so I'll know you made it back in the house OK... She never calls me back!
 
maybe send the cops out on a welfare check that might not be safe for you . we had an old guy in the neighborhood was the same way so a couple of us got together and when he was due to get in he would always get a call i dont think he caught on
