how heavy is a case 310

i have a friend with a case 310 craler loader, his dad bought it new, anyway he had somebody start a clutch job on it the guy got the idea to pull the input shaft and use it for a clutch alignment tool....you can guess what happened ...case guys are saying oh >>>>! anyway we need to go get it, i need to know how heavy this thing is so i can decide what to go get it with, we plan to lift the bucket and block it up to load it using my winch truck also use that to pull the tractor on the trailer it will roll

A case 310 tractor : Crawler with loader is: Gasoline 10,284 Diesel 10,376 lbs. Case 310B or 310 wheel tractor wieghs 3099lbs. This might just be the shipping wieght only.
 
I'm with Mike (WA), what happened when he used the input shaft for a clutch alignment tool? A pretty standard practice, although usually a spare one is used rather than the one from the vehicle you're working on.
Maybe he didn't put it back on the tranny correctly?
 
in this case when you pull the inpust shaft out of the transmission all the gears which run on that shaft inside the transmission fall down and go clunk, to fix it the transmission nust now be dissassembled and put back togeather
 
You know....now that I think about it, the front of the main shaft on most older transmissions runs in "loose" roller bearings inside a race on the input shaft.
I don't know why I didn't remember that...duh!
Now you have a problem for sure.
A "spare" input shaft works well tho.
