New Idea Uni System Equipment

Family travel has taken me on State Route 26 north of Rosendale, WI two times in the last 3 weeks. About 4 miles north of Rosendale, WI there is some News Idea Uni System equipment sitting: At least 3 power units, a grain head, a combine, a 4-row corn head, and a husking bed. Don"t hold me to the description as driving and looking at used machinery at 60 (correction 55) miles per hour may not give an accurate inventory. My memory says it has been sitting there for years. Anyone know anything about it? Anyone have a use for it? Don"t know if it is for sale or not. There is an older tractor with a cab there too. Just north down the road are a bunch of Minnnie Mos and some John Deere tractors sitting. On the north side of the shed from them is a tractor with cab and road grader. About 2 miles north of that is some more stuff including an older Case and other equipment. I am not interested in any of it. Just hate to see it sitting there and rusting away. My memory says none of it has moved in a while.

Rosendale Wisconsin, is it true that after the police nail you for speeding you can take your ticket to Blumke's convenience store and get a discount on the "I visited Rosendale and all I got was this stupid shirt and a speeding ticket?" shirts they sell?

The problem with a Uni-system is that any thing that does everything does nothing right.LOL They were a great corn picker.Dad had one for a few years, 4 rows at a time the fellow unloading better not waste any time. The chopper was fair but it did not like tall corn.

Biggest reason was lack of dealers. Moline developed the system and they did not have much of a dealer detwork. 2 models before the New Idea model and the first of the New Idea models still carried the Moline name. And then after New Idea bought the system the New Idea dealers already had a combine in their lineup and did not want to take on a different line and have to learn something different and new or to supply a second line of parts.
