winter in Texas

Tues. AM it was 15 degrees, yesterday (Sat) 75. Seemed like a good time to take a break from clearing cedar and pulling stumps.

Nice looking Massey 50 there ! Curious as to why the muffler has been moved from original location ?

I can't imagine what it would be like to have green grass in January, or leaves on trees. How do you have time to work in the "winter service" on your lawnmowers ?

Nice Massey Ferguson....I would notice that!
We are also nice and green in winter, but we are also green all summer, unlike Texas....I was down in Pittsburg TX last August/Sept and it was a bit hot for me! We were trying to dismantle some tractors (scavenging for parts for my American built tractors!) But the heat did not worry me as much as the fear of meeting a snake! Being from Ireland we don't have snakes at all.
The photo is of the thermometer out front of the shop at 7.00 pm with the sun going down!....still too hot!

I got this tractor from the original owner. He farmed a lot of acres between Buda and Kyle TX. He had several Farmalls but this was his personal favorite. It has lots of "field repairs" and I left most of them alone. Somebody knew how to braze pretty good. This is the manifold it had on it. I did not do a restoration - more a rehab or recondition. 12 V w/ generator, electronic tach, but lots of original parts. Not a parade queen, gets lots of work. Thanks for the compliment.
