You think snow is bad? This house in Devon England was flooded so often the homeowner built a 6 foot flood bank around the property. This is how it looks at present!

I just took my wife to work, she works about two miles from home, I dont feel too good about that, but she is ok with it,I do clean the house and cook,,,,,and I do like to go to the freezer and use some of the stuff we froze, that makes me feel a little better. But I still get a feeling of guilt not working.

Sun is shinning so bright through the kitchen window I had to put my sun glasses on to see my breakfast. The wood burning stove is so hot I almost burned my eyes looking at it and yet I can't seem to visualize spring . Guess I will just have to wait a few more months.
Hope everyone is staying warm.

It's working! Keep thinking those warm thoughts.

It's warming up in central Minnesota so the warmer weather will eventually move east.
Monday morning was -27F, afternoon high was -14F.
This morning is -9F, should get up to a high of zeroF today.
It reaches average highs of around 20F on Friday.
By Sunday we are forcast to reach a high near 30F.

Keep thinking warm, it's working.

that pix reminds me of the fly over pix of my cousins farm on the OHIgher and higher river bottoms during flood of 1964,, cept they had cows around the house and equipment and trux loaded with hay ,, hale of a mess ,funny back then ,my 4 yr old cousin ray maeser coined the phrase ohi-gher and higher river ///////////,you could warm up by watchin magnum pi .. lol ,/,. or think about the hottest ya got last summer ,or use transcendental meditation of putting hay in the barn ,,unplugging the machines , ,, ahh-heck stop !,havin trouble beggin for my next breath ,lol,,, too da mmiserable humid, sultry as hale ...

I'd assume he'd have to be running a couple pumps too as surely water would be coming out of saturated ground in there. Or does it stay dry on it's own? And for that matter how does he handle rain on the property when it's not flooded around him--seems if he has a drain through the dam it'd be running in reverse now.
