5 inches and still falling

Just stepped out and dropped a yardstick in the snow in a few places. 5-5.5 inch most every where I dropped it. Cleaned off the walk way about 30 minutes ago and it is covered in snow again. Guess I'll be staying home for a few days

Coming down steady here but not enough to bother plowing yet. I just went out and scooped up a bunch of the old stuff with the loader and banked the house again. Got it back up to the bottom of the windows. Had it banked a month ago but it had settled and melted about an inch away from the siding in places.

Had 14" and got another 6" yesterday and last night and it's still coming down. Heading out now to start cleaning up again.
I don't mind too much as dry as it's been here the last two years.

I will trade you some snow for higher temperatures tomorrow.

I got a snow blower you can use. Just may take a little time to drive it down. LOL

Don"t know how much snow we got. I have drifts that are 5 foot and spots of grass showing in my yard. This wind is a killer.

The 841 Ford is in the hay barn with the bale spike on it yet. Even being in the barn it is covered with snow since it is blowing hard here. So no do not have the V plow on right now but they say it will be above freezing by Wednesday

How does that work for you? Any water in your basement in the spring melt? My brother did that to his house last snow storm, week later 59 degrees and 12" of snow melted away I forgot to ask him how it worked as far as insulating. Lol

Some of it ends up getting taken out by the sump pump I suppose, but for the most part it just melts slowly while the ground is frozen and it runs away. Get all that snow banked up,some on the roof and it's snug as a bug in a rug in here. It muffles the sound of the wind and the cars going by. Real cozy.

Similar conditions in west central IL. The sheltered areas have about 5", and we still have light snow falling/blowing. The drifting is a problem though. At 1PM it's 11 F with 20 mph NNW wind gusting to 30 mph.

Many of use have been on here long enough that many know where we are. Animal is in the Lone Jack area of Missouri. I am at the Lake of the Ozarks area of Missouri

Been a very odd here in 2013. Had a wet cold spring then hot and dry then in Aug had 15 inches of rain in one week then went to a drought condition due to hot and no rain for over 4 weeks and now this snow. So far this winter we are at about what we normally get as for snow in an average year
