cold in SC

16.5 degrees this morning, supposed to get up to the low forties. Clouds coming in, supposed to rain Sunday, then low of 12 Monday night. Still cold elsewhere or did you send it all to us?

Oh no Keith, you can"t have all our cold air.

We"re going to keep some for our selfs and go down below zero for Sunday night into Tuesday night.

Hope my computer don"t freeze up.

Don't expect much sympathy from here. We are forecast to have wind chill factors in the -50C (which is worse than -50F) range tomorrow.

We are going to have temps of -25F with wind chills of -50 below Monday.

Right now we are having a heat way of 25F above. First double digit temps in over a week.

I know, I know, its a lot colder in other parts of the country. Sorry for you. I don't like it this cold either.

Unfortunately, most folks in this part of the states aren't set up for super cold stuff. Gonna be a lot of people without water, without use of their vehicles, without the ability to keep warm in their own homes cause their heating systems aren't adequate for that low temp. We do the best we can and try to help the ones who can't.
A lot like a few years ago in Flarda when it went down to near freezing and the predominance of structures were concrete block with NO insulation. Those folks were in a world-o-hurt for a week or two.

KEH, It was about the same temp. here in the Blue Ridge this AM. My heat pump was blowing cold air so I bundled up and went out to look at the outside unit. Dang thing was frozen. My wife thought I was crazy when I came in and turned the air conditioner to cool. That worked, icing was gone in a few minutes. I'm glad I've kept my woodstove in good shape and have adequate dried hardwood to last the winter. Supposed to be cooler tonight and colder yet next week. Reminds of my younger days when this type cold meant it was hog killing weather.

Shoot that is warm. Here in Missouri we are in a winter storm warning for tonight threw Tuesday. 1-12 inches of snow called for depending on where you are and highs Monday around 5 with wind chills in the -15 range
