The cat has about the same ambition as me!!!

This is one of the wife's house cats. He is relaxing on the Grandson's chairs. Too lazy to even hold his legs up. LOL That was about me today. It is cold and blowing here today. I did not even change out of my sweat pants today. The sons called and said everything was fine with the cattle. The youngest did drop off the grand sons this afternoon while he and the DIL went snowmobiling. He asked me if I wanted to go. Told him there was not enought money to make me go riding with him today. They stayed out for 5-6 hours.

This is out in the family room. This room is going to be completely torn out this spring so the carpets are stained from the kids spilling things and the furniture is a collection of hand me downs. The wife keeps her "good" rooms shut up from the pets. I guess that includes me too. LAMO I never set in the other room either.

The couch is the one that the oily dog jumped on. I think the sheet works fine as a cover. She does not. She would throw a fit if she knew I took a picture showing this room to everyone. LOL

Yep, our two seem to move away from the woodstove when they get to hot, kinda like alligators and snakes! When they cool down the move closer to the stove??? A cats life??

JD Seller, I would have never known which room it was if you hadn't mentioned. It's hard to tell what shape it is in from the photo. However, myself, I like an informal room to relax in, (very informal)!
I try to keep my house halfway decent looking, but it would never be considered for Good Housekeeping. My house looks very much lived in and I don't apologize for that. If anyone doesn't like it, they don't have to come in. That's just the way it is.

Interesting - your second pic - we have a barn cat that's identical to that one, right down to the bulls eye pattern on his side. In fact - his name is Bulls-eye. A pretty good old cat, as cats go.

when im asked about my housekeeping i just say comfortable not to clean not to messy. why am i awake at this hour ? mutt comes over and shakes the bed when the stove starts to cool down its amish all hand control.

If I ever get a chance to return to this earth(reincarnation!) I want to be a cat! They can sleep all day and run about all night....would suit a teenager well! But they never HAVE to do any work,,,,,just as and when suits them...they get the best seats in the house and the females all love them!
LOL.....Sam

My dogs love to lay by the stove. My English setter spends the day in the kennel but comes in at night. She sits on her haunches right in front of the stove and watches the flame through the glass door.

Our cats are all in the barn huddling in a small insulated dog house I moved in there. In front of the dog house they can lay in the sun behind a plexiglass panel I put into the bottom half of a south facing walk in door. The dog is lounging in the front porch. I let him in for a warm treat on the rug until Marilyn complains about his 'doghouse' smell and kicks him back out. Jim

I'm slowly making my way through the downstairs with painting etc.I believe i have time to paint the living room next week.Carpets needs changing from when the kids were little.

All in good time.
