Happy New Year to Everyone on YT

Another year over and a new one begins. I would just like to wish everyone a healthy, happy and where possible a wealthy 2014. I always find it so amazing how everyone here are just so helpful with the advice they give. It doesnt seem to matter the topic, someone always manages to offer some help, advice or just opinion.I often post asking for information but of course dont manage to return the favour as my questions relate to US tractors rather than UK models. I do try to take a few pictures of Scottish scenes which you guys seem to enjoy so will continue doing this when opportunities arise.
We managed a visit to the west side of the US during the summer of 2013 which was fantastic as usual, again thanks for all the advice on the sites to see they were all wonderful. We were so disappointed the Salt Lake Flats were washed out as this was to be one of the hightlights but maybe another year. We were just looking at the map a couple of hours ago to see where we might visit 2014 so I guess I will again be looking for some thoughts about where to go from you guys.
Thanks again
Bill

Hi Bill, Happy New Year and all the best to you and your family in 2014. I always enjoy you pictures of Scotland. Hope the flooding that occurred in parts of Scotland did not happen in your area.

All the best in 2014

Hey, Bill. Good to hear from people across the "pond"! My father-in-law's kin were Scotch-Irish (hope it doesn't offend you!), having gone to Scotland at some point! Then someone got the idea they could do better in the US of A and ended up in N.E. North Carolina! If you ever get a chance, visit S.E. VA/ N.E. North Carolina and check out some of our down home cooking/BBQ! Happy New Year!!

Bill, Happy New Year, hope you got some Haggis at Hogmany.
I hope to be up your way this incoming month....drop me an email......
Sam

Bill ... I guess its all a matter of perspective based on where you are "from." We just did a 3 week vacation/holiday in the Scandinavian part of the world ending with a week long cruise up / down the coast of Norway. That was sure some beautiful country as was Sweden.

We have been to the UK a number of times and we are not finished seeing YOUR country yet. Glen Coe and Glen Etive on the mainland and the Orkney Islands off the northern tip have been had to beat. We love Scotland for its beauty, but especially so for the people in the small towns and villages along the way.

Here is the best web site for travel info we have ever found...and it is for Scotland.

It will be hard to beat eastern NC for good pork BBQ!

Have fun planning your trip(s).

Hard to type in my condition. Recovering from prostate cancer and radiation. How long before cold and hot spells go away? and itching? God bless you all and have a great new year. Dave
