converting mag to battery ignition

I am going to convert the H4 mag on my Farmall M to battery. Can I use the mag condencer? The H4 is called a 35 degree unit. Will I have the proper spark advance?
This tractor has a hydraulic pump between the mag and the drive. I would like a Delco vertical drive distributor, but can't find one and the mount.

On that type of mag it is pretty much pull the one wire that goes in the center area and hook that to a coil and wire the coil up to an ignition switch. The points and condenser stay the same and the ydo the same job as distributor points and condenser would do

Many years ago my dad had a 40's model cub. Mag went dead. I removed wires from mag, used the existing points and condensor, put a 6 v coil on it, wired other side of coil to points using the connection that was once the kill wire. The spark from coil went the same place mag spark went. It worked fine for many years. Been 40 years ago, I don't remember what wires I moved around under distributor, it was a simple fix. If you have 12v, get a 12v coil. As for spark advance, I didn't change position of mag.
