Hello from Texas

Ah, but don't assume there won't/can't be any snow. In the winter of 71-72, I believe it was, it snowed not once but three times. It actually covered the ground all three times. People went nuts. I recall that people driving in to work on the Southwest Freeway were scooping snow off the tops of their cars and having rolling snowball fights as we inched into town.

No snow for sure, should get up to about 60* there. Welcome to Texas. I worked in Houston for 40 yrs, now I'm 100 mi to the west. Make sure you eat some good Mexican food while you are here.

We are getting ready to head for McAllen for 2 mo. Will stop in SA to see the son's family, then on down.

Leaving here about 5 AM tomorrow for NE of Dallas.
Plan to lay my head down in a motel there tomorrow night.
Load a tractor Sat morning and see how far I can get coming home.
Might just cat nap in the seat to save the cost of another night in a motel.
Long drive for old iron.
Hoping it's as described by the seller -
"fully restored tractor".
wink

Couple more days like today and there may not be any snow when you get back to Iowa.

34 today and headed to upper 30's tomorrow.

Enjoy your trip.

Ultradog, if you're driving a Chevy pickup and you take a nap in the seat you're sleeping in the 'Hotel Silverado'. That's what the young guys on the harvest called it. Last time I slept in the Silverado was in Russell Kansas when the motels were full. I think I might have slept a little that night but not much. Jim
