Well in the Northwest part of the state it is not that warm (39) but it is wet. I looked out of my windows this morning and the 3 fields I see all have acres of standing water on them. If this had been snow we would not be going anywhere this morning.

I thought earlier this week, with temps ranging from zero to the teens, into the 20's, but not seeing anything above freezing in 9-10 days, the 18" of snow, frost in the ground which was not much, given it snowed, would last for the winter, wrong on that ! I thought it was odd that it snowed while it was 10 Deg F, usually warmer than that. Last of the frost is leaving now and the water that makes it a mess will drain through.

Yup, the same here in central NY. It's 62F here this morning, and apparently all the frost is gone out of the ground. Yesterday there was lots of standing water, But it has soaked in now, inspite of another .48" of rain overnight.

Pretty muddy here in Pa too. About 55 and rain since Friday. All the snow has melted and not much frost left in the ground.

Rick,

I know what you mean, we had our barn added onto this past week and we have a lot of mud.

The working conditions were real cold last week. Now it is all mud.

We just built are house and it's a mess, just started raining hard again going to take a few days to straighten out our drive and around our house...

We've had 12" of snow melt in the past few days, and it's 63 degrees out right now. We're getting some showers and rain, and then, it's supposed to turn colder over the next few days and Christmas, but no snow. I'd rather it just freeze so we don't have so much mud. SWMBO is raising hail about two long haired mudballls running around the house....
