Cord firewood prices

Can anyone on here give me the going price per cord of mixed hardwood, meaning not pine, spruce or cottonwood? NC Iowa. To keep it tractor related, I'll use the 400 to move the pile to the house. Did not get enough in do to health problems, Brian

$120-$180 around here. Depends if it's stored inside, split,quality etc. In Michigan.

Here in Salida CO. A lot of wood burning. $100 blocked, $160 split is a normal price.

One of my shop customers has a tree service . He gets $190 for cord . He said thats 244 pieces of wood . I never checked when stacking it , lol

I bought a cord, but not really a cord. My cords are only 20" long, not 24 because they won't fit through the door of my wood stove.

I burn oak because it burns good, no sparks and leaves nice coals for restarting the fire in the middle of the night.

This was an exception as this guy cut down and prepared a dead oak tree from a neighbors farm. $100 a cord. Burns good.

Price varies as does quality. I pay max $150 a short cord and I haul it home. Keep looking till I find it. No more of these unseen deliveries for me. Big screwing. I will burn a couple of short cords per year. Actually the wood hunt is an adventure for me in the fall. I enjoy going up into the sandy loam country where the dirt is brown/sandy loam and oaks everywhere.

Propane is really cheap now, running $1.95 in quantity but nothing beats the wholesome warmth of a steel box full of wood.....quality radiant heat.

Depends on what type of cord,loggers cord is 4'X4'X8'
Stove cord is another
Face cord is another
In Northern Wi a loggers cord can vary from logger to logger from 70 to 90 per logger cord.Having someone split it and bring it to you they usually count it in stove or face cord which is way less amount of wood.

I always thought a cord is 4x4x8. Anything else is whatever the seller wants it to be.

150 per cord and up around here, local delivery. That's 128 cubic feet, thrown onto a truck, loose. Stacked, that volume will shrink by roughly 25%...
