Well the calender says we have a few more days until winter. The last picture is my third cousins farm he quit due to getting old and they didn"t want to pick up his milk as it was an hour from the last stop to his farm for the truck. Mostly beef now around here. He and his boys still own it run a few heifers and sell the hay. We are about 100 miles northwest of NYC and about 10 degrees colder here in the mountains.

I have been in that part of the country.
Its purdy in the summer.

I like it when people aren't ashamed to tell what part of the country they are from.
 
I cannot agree any more about how pretty it is up there in the summer. I guess the winter can have some good points too. I thought it would be so nice to retire up there till last year. Your stupid government ran through the most boooooogus gun laws soooooo fast and against the people's will and they do absolutely NOTHING!
I really think that area is SO pretty but I have some very nice firearms and I WILL NOT bow to some idiots! Sorry for the rant but I an so affrade where this country is going
 
Yeah we aren"t happy with the new gun laws they pushed on us in a knee jerk reaction to one incident. People tried to protest ect. but didn"t work out and don"t forget NYC has a huge voting population that doesn"t use a gun as a tool as we do in the rural areas. Add to that our high taxes and its a wonder anyone is still here. All our kids have left and I am ready to go but the roots are down pretty deep and you only see a small portion of my stuff in these pictures guess I would have to have an auction to think about moving.
 
Same here SMS. Thing is, where do we go? Anywhere else you go all they hear is "He's from NY!!!" and they assume it's NYC. Most people have no idea most of NY is as red neck as anywhere in the south or west. In fact, most of the south is a lot more built up than around here. Plus, if you go west theres water issues and high land prices. And them there's the heat. It's not easy finding someplace else to go.
