1026 hydro

Looking at buying a 1026 hydro needs paint, brand new hydro. Are these rare, anyone had one? Are they a good tractor collectible or use?

Somewhat collectable.2900 Copys made.Built '70-'71.Good tractors.Was the largest Hydro built,only the 1066Hydro is bigger.Good tractors,Take it to the field and work the snot out of it!It was a 'hybrid' of sorts.rear end of 856,engine of 1256(DT407),radiator and hood from 1456,and the hydro trans.I had one.Sold it,wish i had kept it.

Grandpa bought a 1066 hydro in 71 brand new with a 5 bottom plow! Still got both 10 been semi retired to the feed mixer but it runs everyday has atleast 18000 hrs yea the motor has been rebuilt and.the hydro was rebuilt but hey at that age and.that many hours most of them had some repairs! Hydros i.think were a good tractor just ahead of.its time!
