So I thought I would go through my pics and post some of what I did this year. I'll do a bunch of short posts for each with a short discription. I posted most of this stuff on the case board already since that is what I collect. I'll start with the biggy for me, getting my dad's Dc back after having lost possession for a few years. My dad bought this tractor in 1955 I believe. It had never been sold but had been loaned out a few times by the dealer. I can't imagine how many hours it has on it since it literally ran everyday. I did the paint on it when I got, I can't remember the exact year, but it was the early 90's. I did get to use it a bit this year too.

Think I should rescue the DC that the neighbor has? It has a wide front,Eagle Hitch with the original top link, reomte outlets. Tires are good,he says it's not stuck, but it hasn't run in several years. He told me $500 or he'd trade it for a John Deere A that he could restore. Been tempted to go get it and take the tires off and put them on my 77,but I'd hate to start taking the darned thing apart instead if restoring it.

You could get a good chunk of that just from the top link. It's more than worth that. Foot or hand clutch?

We just got peoplenet in our trucks about a month ago. One big pain in the rear side if you ask me especially since I am a local driver that does not need a log book 95% of the time.
It forces me to take my break on the weekend because that is when I am normally off even though I do not need a break because I do not use 70 in 8 anyway. Not normally a problem till days like today when I am home sick. I could take a 34 break today and run a extra run this weekend to make up but it will not allow me a break because it forced one on me last weekend.
That and the 30 min break is what gets me.
Have seen the message
00 minuet's to 30 minute break
several times already.

Hey Bored in Indy,
I'm bored in Terre Haute.
Dad had a case like yours except it didn't have 3 pt and didn't look a nice as yours.
In the 1060's, We used an old JD D to pack our pit silo with and an IH H with a loader to feed the cows silage.

Winter can be over with anytime.

Randy,
Buy it!! A little Flambeau Red in your heard will blend nicely! LOL. For that price you can not go wrong. It would look like a carrot dangling in Larry G's face. HeHee.
Loren, the Acg.

If I do,it won't exactly be out of place, just a step backwards. I've had two SCs and a DC. I really should go drag it home I suppose. It's only a few hundred feet down the road.

IS peoplenet the new Quailcom???? Never drove a truck that had the system in it. Would not drive one with it either.

The new driving rules have a lot of stupid stuff in them. A lot of it is designed to make the LARGE companies have an advantage over the small fleets and owner operators.

The ten hours with 8 in the bunk to get a fresh 11 is crazy. I have rarely ever slept 8 hours straight. We had drivers that would be in line all day and napped/slept all day but ran out of duty time while waiting in line so they could not deliver the load after they got loaded.

Really glad we sold all the custom hauling trucks. We kept the two older semis and hoppers for our own use and that is it.

The constant DOT hassle is just not worth it for the small profit you make.

Peoplenet is competition to qualcom. Peoplenet has a distinct advantage by logging by the second. So if it takes 5 min. to fuel, that's what you log. I find I get enough extra hours through that every week that it's better with the electronic log. I won't go back. The off duty rule is 10 hours off duty/sleeper or any combo of both. Nowhere does it say you need 8 hours in the sleeper.

You need a winter project don't ya?
My brother bought an SC a few years back for $500.
Dang thing had "brand new" rear tires but hadn't run in a while.
Obviously the tires had sat for that same "while" but looked great!
He's still using it.
He put a 12 volt lawn mower battery in it to start it.
He has no interest in making it look good however, he just
wants it to run when he wants to use it and it usually does.
