Hey it's Bryce. I was just running through CL and check this puppy out! Has anyone ever heard of one before? Bryce

Have never seen one up close, but have read about them. Typically they were set up with a 6-cylinder engine--4 of which ran the tractor and the other 2 were set up as an air compressor running off the same crankshaft but with different valving and such, of course. Often used for jackhammer and rock drilling work on a smaller scale. Handy because they could move themselves without having to be dragged around like a trailer-mounted compressor, though of course like many other things they've pretty much succumbed to more modern, larger, higher-efficiency units.

Not sure what brand but we had a tractor compressor at Fort Ord must have been pretty old as was 6 volt. 3 cyl for engine 3 for the compressor. Nice setup. Wonder why we still don't have them.

Hauled one like it down to Dr Walt in PaRump a year ago...I think this is the 3rd one I have seen around here (mining country).
