Well like most years I am a day late and a few $$ short. Weather guessers are calling for 1-6 inch of snow in the next 3 days. I need to fire up the W Speed patrol and grade the drive way. I also need to pump fluid into the one tire I fixed on the Ford 841. Plus make sure the well house heater is working etc. Oh well never a dull moment

f you had "used" all that time you burned diking around on the computer, you would be all set!

Old, if you ever get everything done in time, and you are sitting there waiting on the snow, or whatever. write a book on how you did it. You will be a millionaire over night!

Well I do have the tire chains all on. Only because I had to so I could spread manure last week. The little snow we had on the frozen ground made it slick. I do have the rear blade on the JD 5210 just because I graded the little snow we had off the lane. The snow blower is NOT on one of the cab tractors but it is inside.

So I will try to take one of the quick hitches off and mount the snow blower Thursday.

How much snow are they calling for you to get Old???

We are just supposed to be cold but not much snow called for. Highs in the teens and single digit lows for Friday through Monday.

I need to put the blade on the Farmall. I was hoping to go up to Mexico on Thursday and get another lot of feeder pigs, but I might hold off a week on that and see if the weather is better next week. That'll give me more time to make sure the pen is ready and the feeder full.

I am 40 mi south of Keokuk, and they are calling for an inch. It is the 60deg one day and 36 the next that is working on me!

I guess I'm as ready as I can get. The wood pile is in good shape, I got a load of feed yesterday and the generators are serviced. All I need to do is get the gas jugs filled. Some forecasters are calling for up to one and a half inches of ice and then up to 4" of sleet and snow. Today is supposed to be 70 and Friday's high is supposed to be 26.

I have to say that at my age I've kind of gotten into a habit of anticipating snow by mid Nov. so by this time I have had a bonus of three weeks preparation time.

This should give you some idea of what to look forward to: Bismarck / Mandan, ND - Currently: +7*F., Humidity: 74% , Winds: N @ 17 MPH - Forecast: Fri. -3*F., Windchill: -22*F. / Sat. -5*F., Windchill: -15*F. .

TOO DANGED COLD FOE ME ! BRRRRR!

(quoted from post at 06:08:44 12/04/13) Go "up"????? to Mexico. And why would you want a bunch of pigs that Oink in SPANISH ? LOL

Mexico, MO is NORTH of Eldon, MO. :)

One good thing is if we get snow since we still have till the 8th for deer hunting the deer will stick out like a sore thumb. Your in the Eldon area right or up north more??

Ya north of Eldon by close to 100 miles and also North of Jeff city by 50 plus miles. Been in Missouri for 33 years now and have yet to ever get to Mexico. Been close like Fulton and Columbia and Boonville but never there

If I did not take the time to be on the computer I would be down in bed due to my bad back should and knees so I work an hour then take an hour off and have had to live that way for years now

Ya hard to keep up with the weather when one day if is short sleeve weather then the next so cold you our chipping ice out of the water tubes for the animals. Has made for a bad deer hunting season to boot

We got instant winter here in MN, 8 inches of snow and still coming down, when it stops it's going to get below 0 for the weekend. Ever since the Halloween storm 20 some years ago I try to be ready by then.
