Just got home tonight after spending a few days with the in-laws. My wife started to wash some clothes and as I was walking toward the washing machine I heard the sound of running water. The hose in the drain was puking water out. I stooped the machine and after some colorful moments I pushed my electrical fish tape down the drain and pulled up a 18" garter snake. The "grey water" just dumps out on the ground from a 3" pipe. Is there a way to help prevent this? I was thinking of maybe a 1/4" mesh but I am worried about some lint plugging it and flooding the house again. Does anyone have any better ideas?
