Fuel for 855 John Deere tractor

Hi! Wondering if I can use #1kerosene for fuel?or will it cause damage.thank you

Your tractor will run on Kerosene but all Kerosene I've seen lately is considerably higher than diesel. Back several years ago I ran several 100 gallons of Jet fuel with no problems through a 6.5L Chevy diesel. I did add so oil for lubricity.

The Yanmar diesel injection pump and injectors will
run it and it will burn ok, but it may rattle a
little bit because the higher flash point. The
injector system needs the lubricity of the #2 diesel
so you need to mix a little 30 wt motor oil into it
for the pumps sake. The pump rebuild and injector
checked on my 2 cylinder 650 was right at $600, so
be careful what you feed that system.

Why would you? If you are in a cold region your pump fuel is already 30% kerosene.

I though it would burn cleaner but will go back to diesel thank you for the info.

No lube needed with diesel.

You guys just go ahead and believe that! If you buy off the truck,you are probably right. But I would ask if they had put any additive in it. If you buy B11 from a station you are ok also. But just Ultra low Sulfur Diesel will need something in a Older rotary Diesel pump. A jug of Howe's doesn't cost that much.
