Farmall Super A spark plugs

Hello, I see that the Farmall Super A used Champion 15-A. First of all how do I get them out (what size socket, 7/8? 18mm?)... the engine block is so tight it seems like the socket needs to be extra thin, is that my imagination? Also, is there a recommended modern plug? Thanks so much!

Don't really know about A's, but a common spark plug socket in that era, and still is, is 13/16 or 21 mm.

Well to be exact the plug socket size is 7/8 same as the ones in my BA half B half A. You need a thin wall socket to get them out. Auto lite plugs now days are the preferred brand due to the gas being what it is

I should have said the plugs are threaded 18mm.They are 7/8 wrench size. You may have to use the old spark plug wrenches that were double ended and used rod to turn them.My old tool box I used in the 50s has a few of these wrenches.I have an early socket set that has stamped steel sockets.
