Input shaft old Dodge truck transmission

I am in need of an input shaft for an old Dodge truck 4 speed truck transmission. This is for use in my Wagner Scoopmobile. It has spur gears, not helical. I found a transmission which I thought would work until I found out it was too modern. The transmission is married to a reversing transmission so to use the newer one would require significant machine shop work which I would like to avoid. I am guessing I will need a transmission from the early fifties or before. Any help on where to look would be appreciated. You might try J & R Auto recyclers at 6166961520. The yard has been there from the early 50s.

In the 50'-mid were 420's [pick ups have Small Input Shafts /400 series& up are Large input shafts /the later are 435 =the same here with the input shafts/You might have the one used in the M37 trucks =good luck /Do you have any photo's of the Transmission ?

I work in a transmission parts warehouse, and we deal with that stuff a lot. Most likley you have an old Dodge 420 4 speed. The casting numbers on the case will tell you. I know of lots of places you can call to find that gear, or maybe a whole trans. If you get stuck, drop me an e-mail and Monday when I get to work I can tell you several places to try.
