OT Yesterday at work

Built this stair case yesterday in a warehouse. Could not get in till 9am, had to demo old one including a landing, cut it up to fit in a pick up, help load trash, lay out and cut all the parts. Same truck that hauled the trash brought my material load. Had it built by 4, took another hour to clean up after myself-so 8 hours!

Nice job, especially with that offset up there. Woulda took me twice that long, at least, and it wouldn't have turned out that nice.

Just for your info, and I am NOT NOT NOT being the correct police here, but most Codes for commercial or industrial use require handrails on both sides, and spindles with no more than a 4" gap between. Most commercial or industrial Codes also require any wood sitting on concrete floor to be treated, will last much longer. {Can be just resting on a treated 2X plate.} Just for your info.

If I had torn the old staircase down somebody would have to climb a ladder for at least a week. Then after I finished the stairs they would prefer the ladder. WGW not a carpenter!

Yes, it is NOT to code! I was told to do it this way! If proper spindles were used it would have taken quite abit longer!
