Woke up this am to a dusting of snow! The first here in eastern NY. Went to the Deere dealer and ordered the parts for my baler. I can't believe how much the price of things have gone up, a can of red primer was $7.60 today at a farm parts store, I Guess I haven't bought spray paint in a while! ?? Lol, But it was a nice day to have off and take a ride.

had a few flakes falling here in central mass.

More on the way later this week. Guess it's inevitable.

Great weather for a steaming bowl of vegetable beef soup !

They are forcasting our first snow coming Monday evening. I am going to help a neighbor try to finish up his double-crop soybeans tomorrow.

The older I get, the less need I have for SNOW !

Lol! That's what we had for dinner! Along with John .b's biscuits. I hope you get all your crop in.

There is a good 2" on the ground here for the second time this season. We have had a dusting 3 times already. I am in Herkimer Co. at 1740' elevation.

No, on the eastern border, near Vermont, mass ect. If this pic is any good, I'm were the red peg is on the map.

I picked corn with a 560 and a 2MH for my dad and great uncle at Goldfield, IA. Finished all but 8 rows that had snow up to the ears on Dec 6, 1959. Then during the winter of 1960-61 I saw 32 below, 10 days of 10 below as the high, and 83 inches of snow. When I left I never went back. Iowa is like Chicago, it is a good place to be from. The draw was my mom's cousins lived on a C H Moore farm at Clarion like we did at Dewitt, IL. But I was supposed to have been drafted on Jan 13, 1964 and got snowed in here in IL. Got the second notice to go on Jan 31, 1964.

My first thought was a smart a-- one. you gonna fix the baler up to bale snow? Might be a market for it in the dry states.
Just meant in fun

Had our first accumulating snow of about 3" almost a month ago now. Had another 4.5" the last few days. Guess that's what you get for living in the snow belt.

We got the squalls, but it did not stick, well the winter weather is upon us however all is not lost, will be spring again before you know it, looks to be a nice one today, sun shining and hopefully that cold harsh wind is over !
