cultivators

We have a small local auction comming up. there is a set of Ih cultivators on it. they are for an H or M, but they are the early steerable ones. Have lots of paint on them yet and complete other than the steering arm, would be an easy fix, just a couple of rods bent. We have a set to fix up. I would like to save them from the scrapper, but don't need more projects lying around right now. Does anyone think there would be a market for these for someone to restore??. wouldn't care if I made a dime on them if they went to someone who would like to add them to his restored tractor.

Where are they located? If they were close enough
and didn't go for a fortune I might be interested.

They arent any earlier than other models just H-M-221 instead of the regular H-M-238 which was the common model sold.

There were a couple of different steerable ones for H's and M's, and the HM-221 was by far the most popular steerable one.

If it's a HM-221, unless it's a really early one, has some rare features or something, or is in perfect shape, it's not worth much.

If it's a HM-221, it may have some more demand for a collector if:
It's an early one with the steering throwout operating off one side via a bent rod.
It's 100% hand lift. Most were hydraulic. Some used 2 cyl.'s, some used 3. 3 cyl. lifts are better if someone actually wants to use it.
It has odd shanks, hillers, weeders, etc.. Most had one shank on each side of the row on the front gangs. Other combinations on the front gangs would be somewhat rare.
