hobart/Miller wire welder

I heard once that hobart & Millers are the same just different colors. Any truth to that?

No they are two separate companies but they are both owned by a conglomerate Illinios Tool Works. Miller does not make Hobart Welders although you will find people on welding forums claiming differently. Two different companies.

To add to what dr said - they use some of the same parts to build the welders but built are separate.
