OT: Anyone using Blue Tooth HA with TV?

Trying out expensive BT hearing aids but still have to have TV too loud. Looks like a lot of BT gadgets on Amazon, but which one. Don't want another battery or charger, just a plug in xmtr that powers up or down from the TV. Yes, I lost a lot of hearing due to tractors bellowing over seventy some years. Loved it! Leo

I have the best hearing aid made by Starkey and they also have a device for the TV that pipes it direct to your hearing aid. Works real good but cost $7,000. I used to turn the tv louder too but now I don't have to.

I wear a hearing aid (some of the time!) but for
TV watching it"s a lot better to use the transmitter and earphone set up..Lot of places have them under various names. Probably $100-150 or so. I have a set from Brookstone my daughter gave me a couple of years ago. Love em!

A followup to my earlier recommendation on using a wireless headphone setup to watch TV. Important..to use a wireless set up your TV MUST HAVE...audio output jacks. Before you invest in one look on the back of the set and see if it has a right/left RCA type (or minijack)output jacks. If it doesn't you can't use your current set with a headphone set up. I actually bought a different TV to use mine.

I have tried a couple of cheap Radio Shack senders to some chintzy headphones, but room interference patterns caused the hearing gains to worthless. I also have had the experience of plugging into a headphone jack and cutting off the regular speakers and my sweetie watching with me didn't much go for that. Does your system cut out the regular speakers? Leo
