Hydraulic loader valve

Hello all,
Working on a friends Kubota L185. It came with a loader but no control valve. He was able to get a free control valve (Diesel KIKI) brand new that was meant for a Ford 1320 . The Kubota has two lines... a pressure and a return. The ford valve has input for three lines (Marked N - P - T). When blowing air in the P it comes out the N. So I ran the pressure to P and the return to N and blocked T..that didn"t work. Spoke to a ford servicemen and he said that one input (Most likely P was the pressure. Out of the other two- one would be power beyond (3 point) and the other would be return (and would be only utilized when relieving pressure out of the cylinders by working the loader/bucket. So with that theory I plumbed the N and T together and sent it as the return and the pressure to P........it works kind of but has no power. Also to get it to lift you also have to hit the control to curl and to lower you have to slightly release the dump.........I am at a loss here..any suggestions to make this work.
