Cylinder repair on Bush Hog 2400 QT loader

Hello,
Does anyone have a parts break down of the front tilt cylinders on a Bush Hog 2400 QT Loader.
It has been a lot of years since I rebuilt a cylinder. I"m sure it will come back to me. My problem is getting the end cap off. It has three dimples in the end cap I"m assuming for spanner type wrench. Anyway, I can"t figure why the cap won"t come off? Is there a wire in there that holds it? Is there something I"m missing?
So, if anyone has info or parts break down, that would be great. Thanks

Look at the side near the end and see if here is a small hole drilled into it. Clean it out real good and look for a small square wire. If its there then locate the end of the wire and use a small flat screw driver to force the end up and out of the hole as you turn the cap.

I have to rebuild one of mine this winter. Is the wire inside where you cannot see it. I have the hole but did not look inside it. Does this wire go all the way around the end cap? The parts book I had shows this wire but I could not find it. Thanks
