Measuring beans in a bin

I finished cutting beans a week ago, had a wagon load and 1/2 hopper still to unload. The wind died down enough today that I set the auger and got them added to the bin. Took the auger down and crawled up and into the bin and leveled off beans. The bin is 18', the beans are 4'2" deep. I went to farm net services to find out how many bushels are in the bin. A pop up comes up telling me my browser is outdated and I need to download a new version. I don't know whether to trust it or not. Is there any where else you can go to get bin measurements? The JD 70 was on the auger and I pulled the wagon with my 1850 and the beans were on the 6600. There, that covers the tractor topic. Chris

The link isn't working for me, I tried it 3 times and nothing comes up. Thanks anyway, Chris

Assuming the bottom is level versus some type of cone and the bin is round then an 18 foot diameter bin is 203 bushels per vertical foot. Then for actual bushels you need to adjust for test weight. Nearly all the soybeans here in the East will not make a true 60 lb bushel. Most run 57 lbs or less. A couple of samples I took to the nearest elevator tested at 57 lbs.

Uffda (USDA) has a form....CCC-637.......shows many bin sizes. 18 foot dia is 203.6 bu per foot of depth.

Pii times radius squared times height gives volume of a cylinder.
In this case 3.14 times 81 times 4.1666 equals 1060 cubic feet, times .8 equals 848 bushels.
