Cub cadet big country

Hello guys,

I recently got a Cub cadet big country for a steal, but I'm having some issues. today when I went to use it keeps pushing hard forward when I apply the brakes. What could cause this and how do I fix it? Save the I should have bought A gator as I already have one of those but I got this one for next to nothing.

Obvious question, but how is it idling? If it is high that may be the issue. Could be there's a vacuum leak in the engine making it idle higher. It may also need the carb gone through. If it was having trouble running someone may have adjusted the carb to overcome the issue. Are you sure the right belt is on it?
