Anybody on it and has anybody started using the generic my dose is 1200.00 a month right now supposedly its only goina be 40 now
 
Drug makers have patents on the drugs that they develop, and until the patent runs out, they really hose you. After the patent runs out, others start making generics, much more moderately priced.

Same deal as Roundup- when Monsanto was the only source, you paid through the nose. Now generics are about a tenth the price.
 
Several of my meds have done that gone from way up there to almost nothing. My wife's cancer pills were over $1000 I'm glad I have Kaiser ins. It only cost me $60

My son is a druggist. You are exactly right. When the patent runs out, the price falls considerably.
 
The United States has 5 percent of the world's population. Yet, we pay 80 percent(yes that's right) of the world's drug costs.
