HELP,bought a new wiring harness for my tractor.It did not come with instructions as i thought it would. I have a 12v converted system.the harness is for that,however my shop manuel only covers the original 6v. Is the a diagram on line?

Here are a couple I drew.....

Your wiring harness is made with 1 wire to the alternator. (top picture)
I suggest you buy some extra wire and ends and wire it with 3 wires to the alternator. (second picture)

Hey John in LA,
you posted back in 2008 concerning replacing the rear lugs on a Ford 801, the post is old and two of the pic are no longer supported. Would you mind re-posting your pics and advice.
When I got the tractor two lugs were already broken, I made a small attempt to replace them but the brakes and all discouraged me. This past week (two years later) I noticed a third lug was broken and while my son was checking the others, a fourth broke!

I think it is time to do something myself or pay my local mechanic to learn how

thanks for your help,
john in TX

Graper;
Here is a post from 2004
Does this help you?

You drill a 1 inch hole in the backing plate (some newer model plates come with a hole pre made from the factory; it will have a rubber plug in it)
Line up the broken stud with the hole and drive it out.
Install the new stud and either drive it in or use a impact on the lug nut to pull it in.
This can be done without removing the brakes or backing plate.

Thanks to Larry-NEK for the pictures
