ot poulan 4900 chainsaw

Most chainsaw fuel line assemblies are pretty generic, or can be replaced by generic parts. Your local chainsaw shop should be able to help you. (But my closest chainsaw shop/dealer will only help if they sold that particular brand, so I drive much further to spend my money with someone who is willing to help).

I'm guessing that the Poulan 4900 is from the late or mid 70's. I have a bigger Poulan (5600 or 5800) from that time period. It is a real tiger of a saw with pretty high compression, but is now too much saw for me to handle. It originally came with a 24" bar and .404 chain. I replaced the fuel line system a few times on that saw with generic line and screen.

Good Luck

Parts tree shows your saw but no gas line available.

Not sure on that model, but some of them had sort of custom lines with a small section and a larger section near the carb or tank fitting. These can be produced simply by using a little alcohol to slide a larger section over the smaller section of standard lines. Sometimes a little stretching is needed.

Some of the older Poulans were darn good saws. They aren't anything like the Poulan Pros of today.
