electronic ignition

I had to get a new used dist. for my super M and it came with an electronic ignition and i"m having a tough time on getting it to work if any one know how to hook it up any help would be great

Make sure if it's 12 or 6 volt before starting.

When new, some of the EI's have a tag on the module inside the distributor. The tag should have a part number or model number to go off of. With the trigger ring in place, it's hard to see because the tag is on the inside facing the trigger ring.
Maybe you can call the place where you bought it and hopefully they will have some information.
As others said, you need to find out if it's 6 or 12 volt, positive or negative ground.

If there is a tag on the sensor unit; take it off. At times they will not run. Also; be sure you have the proper coil. There are different coils for 4 or 6 cyl. and; as previously suggested; check the manufctures data.
