Farmers near Kewanee Illinois

I have been looking for my grandfathers 1971 4620. The tractor sold in August 2000 at his farm sale in Heyworth Il, to a gentleman from Chestnut Il. Needless to say I didn't find this out till after the gentleman had already sold it. The gentleman didn't remember the name of the man he sold it to, but did remember they were from the Kewanee area. This tractor is very unique it has my dad's name pinstriped on the front of it. The guy who sold it did say he hadnt changed anything on the tractor. So im putting this out there if any of you are from this area and know of any farmers or know of this tractor I would apprecaite any help. I am even offering some reward if someone can find this tractor for me.
Thanks,

I live 16 miles southeast of Kewanee. Harold Schieler used to be a big Deere guy in the area< but he has passed. I"ve lived and farmed here all my life and never seen that tractor. It sure stands out! Do you have the serial number? might help anyone lookn. Farming now, but will tell friends to look up this post and maybe send you some leads. Might try calling Hatzer/Nordstrom in Annawan IL or Rediger auctions in Wyanet IL There online and move a lot of equipment. If they haven,t painted it that should stick in someones mind.

The man from Chestnut Ill. probably remembers how much he got for it. He was probably given a check. His bank probably has his bank statements archived, so he could look through his old statements for that amount of a deposit. That check will proably have the buyers name on it. Might be a long shot...but worth trying.

I thought the same thing, I have asked the guy several times if he knew the name but he doesn't and doesn't seem too interested in finding it. I even offered to pay him if he could find it but no such luck.

Did you offer him a set amount or just say "I'll pay you"? He maybe doesn't want to impose on you for payment. 'Maybe offer him $50.00 just to look? 'Might intice him. You'll spend a lot more than $50 just driving around.

Does he know what year he sold the tractor? You'll need to find out how far back his bank archives their statements. I wish you luck as I've tried to find my old daddy-in-laws old H Farmall. No luck.
