What is a fair price for a good running D282 engine?

can be anywhere from 700.00- 1500.00 depends on the sellers mood. and shape of engine.

At least 80% if not a 100% will have a cracked ht head or blown head gasket. IF you can hear it run watch for with smoke and missing on cold start. A GOOD sound runner will bring $ 700 to a thousand easy, just hard to find one that you will not have to go into.
