Mr. Traditional Farmer:
Where is your sense of humor?
I was not promoting ignorance, but just pointing out the way some people do things.

No sense of humor needed. If a man owns a tractor, has an owners manual he ought to know how to spell the name of the machine.I won a lot of spelling bees in school but a 76 years things are fading.I still know I have a Ford and a John Deere tractor.Brakes are not breaks.I have friends that could not read when they finished school.I wonder what kind of teachers they had.

I had an old friend that called it the "the arrogance of ignorance". I think there is more of it today than ever. My grandparents were relatively uneducated, but they seemed to be more humble about it, and did not wear their lack of education as a badge of honor. After all ignorance is really common, since we are all born with it.

Funny how a guy with an Alice Chambers gets real pizzd if you forget or miss spell his name.

Farm All for sale.

Craig's List is such a good place to see things like this. I also like other fobars like "disk hare for sale", "Wheel Barrel for sale", or more board plow. :)

Y'know, if I were going to advertise a piece of equipment for sale with a picture of same, I would at least cut the grass and weeds from around it, so people could see what it looks like!

No John Queer sounded more accurate. Thats how I'd feel if I had one. I think most of the "rich" farmers around here farm with Deere while the rest of the guys who couldn't afford them had to have other brands. And I've seen the same quality crop planted by a $6,000 tractor that a $20,000 tractor planted across the road.

Seen someone selling a " High Drolick Cylinder" on Craigs List yesterday.
Lots of trailors for sale as well...

I don't care how people spell or talk,
how they can work is more important to me.
For us older guys here, I remember learning stuff
from the old and older guys when I was young.
Lots of them couldn't read or write well, none of em talked much, but they could fix ANYTHING.
as far as 'correcting' them....forget it, I don't mess with people
made of iron!

irrelevant today anyway, the way the country is going,
we will all have to learn spanish to survive, and I know I won't be able to do that well.......
