Hard start B414

My b414 had engine rebuilt a year or so ago and also the key type ignition switch went and i installed a push pull switch..there isbetween 1.2 and 2.o volts at the glow plugs which i hold the switch on for 25 to a 30 count. As of late i have had some plugs burn or leak[JUNK}and it just wants to kick ,kick kick.and not want to start.I know that there is a number of things that it could be but maybe you guys could give me some good ideas where to start and what to look for.Thank you in advance

You said you had it rebuilt, were the injectors changed? Do you trust the battery, sometimes a battery gets down and just doesn'r spin the tractor like it should. I'm thinking injectors and battery are places to start looking

A click when you hit the starter means one or two, perhaps both problems. One, not enough juice to run the starter, or the starter or seleniod of bad. Remove the cables, clean and tighten, then move to the battery, and on down the line. No use buying parts until you know what to buy.

I said in my post it will Kick Kick Kick not click click click. No the starter is working fine as it was rebuilt a short time ago..Sorry for any confusion.

The BD154 British diesels are prone to cold starting issues due to the poor glow-plug setup. If one plug is bad, none will work. Is the glow indicator turning orange?

Indicator is turning red but hope it will be a big improvement when i get the new Bosch plug system installed i spoke of in an earlier post
