pulled out of the driveway got about 1/4 mile down the road and a bear came out of the ditch and ran into the side of my wifes mini van didnt kill it,not sure if its going to die,going to look for it in the morning.

Not trying to track down a wounded bear, you ain`t. Only reason to look for a wounded one is to put it down, and some mace is not gonna have good results. Statistics on pepper spray and bears are a bit skewed, better than chucking rocks, but only just.

Not sure. A route man hit a bear last year with a ton van/truck. 8,000 worth of damage to the truck, bear is still walking around in the neighborhood.
