My 9 year old son shot his first deer tonight. It is opening day of youth gun season in Iowa. He used a 50 cal. muzzle loader. Shot an 8 point at 35 yards. Today is also my birthday so what a wonderful gift!

Justin....Great deer and future memories for both
of you.....
My oldest Son and I just spent the better part of
last week bowhunting together...he still brings up
the story of his "first deer" and hunting with his
"grandpa".....good memories that keep the fire
alive and burning....he is now 36 years old.

He shoots 50 grains of powder and a 145 grain bullet. He don't complain about the "kick" at all. Wimpy kids not allowed! Thanks for all your kind words!
