Im having trouble with these aftermarket light switches! I get a year out of them and they burn up! Another 40 bucks! I like my stuff original so i buy the original looking switch! All my tractors only have one extra light on them than factory in the back! And its the same style light as the originals! Anybody have any thoughts maybe were to buy a quility switch! Dealer or magazine or online stores i tried them all!

I know this is not a practical suggestion, but LED lights draw much less juice and are easier on the switch and give out a white light that makes the old lights look yellow. But the price tag is enough to choke a horse! My 1086 has a habit of burning the headlight fuse because the clips are too weak to make good contact. I too want to keep everything 'factory'. I've replaced two of the lights with LED's now, trying to lighten the load on the fuse, and would like to replace the other four but I just can't make myself justify $500 or whatever it is for four lights on a 35 year-old tractor. Then again, there's nothing that will raise your pulse more than to be tooting along at 22 MPH on the road at night and lose the lights. Jim

If your 06 sires tractor has 6 lights on it PLUS the dash lights the switch will not handle it . I have for years split the systems and added a second system using self resetting breakers and CV relays , the one system will power the road lights and dash and the second system powers the FIELD lights I use the Field light wire off the org . switch to trigger the CV relay for the field lights and pull power off the hot post on the starter to the breaker then to the CV relay. Now i am not sayen that you will never have to buy another switch but they last years longer. I use breakers now BECAUSE i hate walking back to the farm or truck in pitch blackness at night when you have run out of fusees at 1:30 in the morning and the farm where your truck is setting is three miles away.
